We invite you to take a tour of our house! This Victorian house was built in 1891. It has been refinished with almost all new wiring, and new insulation and sheetrock through most of the house.
Solid brick from foundation to attic -- three layers wide (18" thick) promises that this house will be standing long after new homes are disintegrating! 2x6 wall supports at 12" rather than today's 2x4 at 16" or 18". The workmanship and construction on this house is amazing!
It has hot water heat, and Central Air on the main floor, with window AC in other rooms. This is the most efficient means of heating and cooling!
Approximately 1500 square feet on each floor. This house has a full, partially finished walk-out basement, which is very dry and usable. And a full walk-up attic with 9-19 foot ceilings and an incredible tower room that looks out over the town.
It has 4 bedrooms, but has room for 2-3 times that many with the fully functional attic and basement levels.
1 Full bathroom with shower/large luxuriant tub. 2 additional 1/2 bathrooms. Washer/Dryer are on main floor.
If you would like more pictures of anything, please let us know!
The Pantry has shelves and cupboards on both walls -- to the ceiling! It also has washer and dryer hookups, and the original laundry chute, antique flour bin swings out, and makes a wonderful clothes hamper.
